Shannon Beador is clearing the air about her The Real Housewives of Orange County costar Alexis Bellino’s departure from the show.
“I have zero power with the network or production or anyone, and I would never want to interfere with someone’s livelihood,” Shannon, 60, exclusively told Us Weekly at her and Katie Ginella’s Let’s Help L.A. fundraiser. “But, Alexis Bellino is a TV star, and she’s been a TV star for 15 years, so I’m sure she’ll get a new gig sometime very soon.”
Alexis, 48, initially starred on Bravo’s RHOC during seasons 5 through 8, returning for season 18 last year. She claimed in December 2024 that she wasn’t “asked back” for the forthcoming season.
“I was not asked back next season,” Alexis said on an episode of the “Going Rogue” podcast. “I can’t say it came as a shock, it did not come as a shock. It was a hard conversation. … I guess I wasn’t really prepared [because] I didn’t think contracts were coming out — like, I thought we had more time. … [So] it was a shock when the call came, but I was never shocked about that information.”

Most of Alexis’ season 18 appearance revolved around a feud with show OG Shannon. Alexis’ fiancé, John Janssen, was previously in a relationship and a legal battle with Shannon. After Shannon and John, 63, broke up, he claimed that she refused to pay him $75,000 for her previous facelift. Shannon allegedly agreed to pay John half of the sum, but apparently changed her mind when she reportedly found out that he had video footage from her September 2023 arrest. They settled the case out of court in November 2024 for a reported $60,000.
Shannon, for her part, has since moved on from the drama.
“I spent a lot of time over the holidays reflecting on where I had been the year before,” she told Us on Saturday. “I was at a place where I [had] just seen [John give Alexis] a promise ring on social media, and I didn’t know who was going to be coming back to the show. I didn’t know if I had a single friend on the show.”
The Bravo personality added, “It’s very overwhelming for me, because I look at where I am today, after a year, and I thought I was in a hole that I could not get out of, and it’s possible because I am, probably, in one of the best places that I’ve ever been. I’m so grateful to those close to me that have supported me and the fans that have supported me.”

Shannon further noted that she is “still working” on herself, but is grateful for all the support she’s received amidst the drama.
“I have a lot of work to do, and I’m grateful for all that happened in the last year because it brought me to where I am today,” Shannon said.
In addition, Shannon is also spending her time supporting those in need. She co-organized a benefit at The Bungalow in honor of Emergency Network LA with costar Katie, raising funds for those impacted by the recent L.A. wildfires.
“If I were still living in Los Angeles, I would have been living in Pacific Palisades, and every friend that I have there lost their homes,” Shannon, who wore an Oscar de la Renta dress, told Us. “When I was on a flight to New York, Katie texted me and said, ‘Would you be interested in doing a fundraiser for everything that’s going on in LA?’ and I said,’ Absolutely.’ It’s been a week of planning, but I think we had a successful turnout tonight.”
Shannon and Katie, 40, wanted to host the gathering at a “community-type venue” after being heartbroken by all the destruction in the area. (Thousands of acres have been destroyed in the blaze, and more than 25 individuals have died.)
“Everyone I think needs to be a little bit more prepared, but I’m just devastated for all the people in not only Pacific Palisades but I know people who lost their homes in Pasadena and Altadena,” Shannon said. “People need money, and so that’s what we wanted to try and do tonight.”
