Are Southern Charm’s Taylor and Olivia Still Friends? What They’ve Said

Olivia Flowers might not be on Southern Charm anymore, but viewers are still wondering about the status of her friendship with Taylor Ann Green.

Olivia joined the Southern Charm cast during season 8, when she was dating Austen Kroll. Olivia and Taylor, who was dating Shep Rose at the time, became fast friends. Both relationships later unraveled — and so did things between the women.

Olivia and Taylor’s relationship was fractured when Taylor and Austen kissed — and lied about it.

Things got even messier during the season 9 reunion, which aired in January 2024, when Taylor outed Olivia for hooking up with former Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel. Olivia called Taylor the c-word and it seemed like they would never reconcile.

Taylor and Olivia did not leave that reunion as friends. In fact, that was Olivia’s final appearance on the show. Olivia announced her Southern Charm departure in July 2024.

While they may not be on reality TV together anymore, it appears the line of communication between them has since opened up again.

Wanting Olivia to Return and When She Reached Out

While Olivia’s exit was confirmed in July 2024, Taylor said that she was “very hopeful” Olivia would return to Southern Charm for season 10, while chatting with Us Weekly exclusively in November 2024.

“I think we’re on a good turn and she reached out,” she said. “I allowed that space and time for her to reach out to me if she was ready or wanting or willing, and so she did, and I think we’re good.”

Taylor told Us that Olivia was “checking on” her as they started filming season 10.

“It was really sweet of her to reach out. We had just started filming and she just said, ‘Hey, I’ve heard some things. I’m just checking in on you, making sure you’re doing OK,’” Taylor recalled. “Of course [I said], ‘It’s so great to hear from you. I obviously think about you a lot. I wish you were back this season.’”

Haven’t Seen Each Other

Olivia told Us Weekly exclusively in December 2024 that she hasn’t crossed paths with Taylor since her departure from the show.

“We haven’t been around each other really much,” Olivia said. “I think between the time that’s passed and everything that’s transpired, we both are on the same page of, like, if the time comes to circle back, we will.”

She noted that Taylor was “busy” with her own life at the time.

“I’m sure our path will cross,” Olivia continued. “Charleston’s a very small town, so we’ll see each other eventually.”

A Status Check

“I’m very very happy for Olivia and where she’s going in life right now,” Taylor said during a January 2025 interview on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “We actually have reconnected, and she reached out to me when we first started filming.”

Taylor added that she wished fans could “see it” on the show, noting that Olivia is “kind of in and out” of Charleston.
