John Stamos publicly showed his support after Dave Coulier announced his stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma diagnosis.

“My brother from day 1,” Stamos, 61, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, November 14, alongside photos of him and Coulier, 65, over the years. “Love you @dcoulier and I’ll be by your side through it all.”

Coulier was diagnosed with the “very aggressive” cancer in October after an upper respiratory infection caused severe swelling of his lymph node.

“I went from, I got a little bit of a head cold to I have cancer, and it was pretty overwhelming,” he revealed to People on Wednesday, noting it hadn’t spread to his bone marrow. “At that point, my chances of curable went from something low to [the] 90 percent range. And so that was a great day.”

Coulier recalled how he told his former Full House cast members the news, adding, “I didn’t want them to hear it from someone else, so I sent a text message out. It was just this outpouring of, ‘I will be there. You just name the time, and I know you’re in great hands with [wife Melissa Bring], but what can we do?’ It really is overwhelming the love that we have for each other. We’ve been there for so many years for each other, and it’s pretty remarkable.”

Coulier is expecting a visit from Stamos later this week as he undergoes chemotherapy treatment.

“He goes, ‘If you want to just sleep, I’ll just sit by you. Or if you want to listen to music or just talk, whatever,’” Coulier recalled Stamos telling him. “And I’m just like, ‘Wow. That’s, like, a brother. That’s just truly a brother.’”

Full House, which ran from 1987 to 1995, followed Danny (Bob Saget) as he attempted to raise his three daughters — D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Michelle (Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen) — after his wife’s death. Danny’s brother-in-law, Jesse (Stamos), and best friend Joey (Coulier) subsequently moved in to help him out.

You got it, dude! America fell in love with the Tanner family in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and fans celebrated when news broke that the cast would be reuniting for Netflix’s Fuller House — see then-and-now photos!

The series, which also starred Andrea Barber, Lori Loughlin and Steve Weinger, was revived by Netflix as Fuller House in 2016. Many of the show’s OG cast members appeared throughout the spinoff’s five-season run.

In 2022, the cast mourned the loss of Saget, who died at age 65 in his Orlando, Florida, hotel room. One month later, the Orange County, Florida, medical examiner confirmed that Saget’s passing was the result of “blunt head trauma” from an “accidental” fall.

The Full House cast released a joint statement after Saget’s passing, saying, “Thirty-five years ago, we came together as a TV family, but we became a real family. He was a brother to us guys, a father to us girls and a friend to all of us. Bob, we love you dearly.”
