The Bachelor alum Catherine Giudici recalled a sweet off-camera moment she had with now-husband Sean Lowe one day before they got engaged on the show.
“It was the day before I was to find out whether I would be engaged or not and our final date was over. We were in Thailand and I was overwhelmed with how much I loved him,” Giudici, 38, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, November 17, alongside several photos of herself and Lowe, 41. “He left and I cried on the bed alone while the cameras captured my emotions. Two minutes later, a knock on the door.”
Giudici went on to recount how Lowe reappeared at her door “chuckling” with “no cameras” present.
“I was so confused because he was laughing, he was confused because I was crying. He came back because when it was midnight (maybe 15 minutes from when he knocked) it would be his birthday and he wanted me to be the person to spend the first minutes of his birthday with him,” she explained. “Even though he wouldn’t spend the majority of his day with me, giving me that time would prove to carry me to the end. The day after his birthday, he proposed and so every year, the 16th and 17th of November are just so precious to me.”

“I love this man and am so grateful to spend every birthday until the end of time with him,” she wrote.
Giudici met Lowe during season 17 of The Bachelor in 2013. Lowe popped the question during the season finale. The couple tied the knot in a live television wedding in January 2014 and went on to welcome sons Thomas and Isaiah in 2016 and 2018, respectively, and daughter Mia in 2019.
Giudici and Lowe are one of Bachelor Nation’s sweetest success stories. Giudici pointed out the unlikelihood of their lasting love in an August Instagram post while reflecting on their reality TV journey.
“12 years ago, we went on 9 dates — only 4 were just us 2. Today, we are living out the dream we talked about on probably a total of 10 hours together 🥰,” she wrote.

Lowe also takes every opportunity he can to gush about Giudici via social media.
“I don’t deserve her and I’m begging you all not to tell her that because she hasn’t figured it out yet. Happy birthday to the best wife and mama to my kids I could have ever asked for!” he captioned an April slideshow of photos of his wife.
In addition to being romantic, Lowe can’t resist poking fun at Giudici sometimes.
“She’s so beautiful inside and out but mostly out,” he captioned a July 2023 Instagram photo of the pair all dressed up.
