Harry Connick Jr. is enjoying the Australian Open with his wife and three daughters.

“[At] the @australianopen with my girls! so excited to watch @janniksin tonite 😀,” Harry, 57, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, January 16, from Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia.

Alongside his caption, the actor and crooner shared a selfie with wife Jill Goodacre and their three daughters — Georgia, 28, Sarah Kate, 27, and Charlotte, 22 — at the Australian Open. The tournament, which lasts for two weeks, kicked off on January 6 and will conclude on January 26.

Following Harry’s stint as a judge on Australian Idol in 2023, all three of his daughters relocated to Australia. “They’re in school and working and they’re having a good time down there,” the musician told People in July 2024. “Georgia and Kate had been there a couple of times when they were little with me on tour, so they always wanted to go back. And then when Charlotte got down there, she loved it too.”

Lee Celano/Getty Images Harry Connick Jr. has broken his silence after his father, Harry Connick Sr., died at the age of 97. “Thanks to everyone for the posts, messages, thoughts and prayers. Knowing y’all took the time to think of me and my family meant the world to me,” Connick Jr., 56, wrote via Instagram […]

Speaking with the outlet, the New Orleans native said of Australia, “First and foremost, the people are just incredibly kind and welcoming. It’s a beautiful country. The food down there is among the best in the world. It’s clean air. Just the quality of life is great. The pace is relaxed.”

Harry and wife Jill tied the knot in April 1994, four years after they first met and two years after they got engaged. In 2019, the Hope Floats actor spoke exclusively with Us Weekly about his and the former model’s secret to a lasting marriage.

“I married my best friend and I married a woman who I look up to infinitely,” he told Us at the time. “We have the same values so it’s easy for us to try and impart those on our children.”

In 2012, Harry and Jill’s marriage was tested when the former model was diagnosed with breast cancer. “I remember what you said to me. I was working down there and I was waiting for the call and you were crying and you said, ‘I have it,’ and I lost it,” Harry recalled to Jill during an episode of his show Harry, which aired in October 2017. “It was the worst feeling of helplessness I’ve ever had.”

Harry Connick Jr. said that his costar Sigourney Weaver didn’t speak to him on the set of 1995’s crime thriller Copycat. “Sigourney Weaver, she’s so unbelievable. She wouldn’t talk to me,” Connick, 56, said on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show with Julia Cunningham on Friday, July 19, while promoting his latest movie Find Me Falling. […]

At the time, Jill shared that telling their daughters was the worst part of her cancer battle, but it ultimately brought the family closer together.

“That was the worst of all. Having the girls sit on my bed and telling them, they were so in shock, it was just devastating,” she said. “They cling more to me more now and it’s just really sweet. They’ve been so supportive, just amazing.”

Harry said on the show, “You were probably stronger than I was, I think. You set the tone for how we were going to deal with it,” he said on the show. “I am so in awe of your bravery.”
