Milwaukee Bucks athlete Andre Jackson Jr. was not hurt after crashing his car into an apartment building.

Jackson, 22, drove his vehicle into a Yankee Hill apartment complex on Saturday, October 26, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Per the outlet, the local fire department responded to a report of a car crashing into a building in the morning. While there was property damage, no one on the scene appeared to be injured.

“Andre was involved in a single-vehicle accident after this morning’s team workout. Andre was alone in his car,” the Bucks chief communications officer, Barry Baum, told the outlet in a statement. “Fortunately, no one was injured and he didn’t require medical attention. Andre will be joining the team in New York for tomorrow’s game.”

Jackson has not publicly addressed the incident.

The NBA forward was drafted by the Bucks in June 2023.

“I mean the amount of players that we’re able to work out throughout our draft processes, kind of independent of our pick status, is incredible,” Bucks General Manager Jon Horst told reporters of drafting Jackson. “They just work and they work and they work and so [with Andre we], were able to spend time with, evaluate him.”

Horst continued, “We learned more and more about the young man that he is, studied him more in his game and just felt really excited to have an opportunity to draft him.”

Months later, Jackson opened up about his rookie year.

At the time, Jackson just wanted to “get better” and “get stronger” as an athlete.

“I pride myself on staying ready. I’m never going to let the moment surpass me, that’s just something that I’ve grown over the years is just to realize that every day is an opportunity,” Jackson stated. “Even today in practice, that’s an opportunity for me to show the coaches that I’m locked in and I’m trying to learn and I’m trying to be a part of this team.”

He added, “I love to compete and I’m never hiding from that. I’m never running from that.”
