Donald Trump is calling on some big names in Hollywood to help him in his upcoming administration.

“It is my honor to announce Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone, to be Special Ambassadors to a great but very troubled place, Hollywood, California,” the President-elect, 78, wrote via Truth Social on Thursday, January 16. “They will serve as Special Envoys to me for the purpose of bringing Hollywood, which has lost much business over the last four years to Foreign Countries, BACK — BIGGER, BETTER, AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!”

Trump added that the three “very talented people” will serve as his “eyes and ears” in the entertainment realm.

“I will get done what they suggest,” he continued. “It will again be, like The United States of America itself, The Golden Age of Hollywood!”

After the news broke, Gibson, 69, hinted that he learned of his appointment at the same time as the rest of the world but shared he was excited about the new role.

“I got the tweet at the same time as all of you and was just as surprised,” the Oscar winner said in a statement to Us Weekly on Thursday. “Nevertheless, I heed the call. My duty as a citizen is to give any help and insight I can. Any chance the position comes with an Ambassador’s residence?”

Stallone, 78, Gibson and Voight, 86, who are all award-winning actors, have been vocal supporters of Trump over the years. Stallone made an appearance at Trump’s Florida home at Mar-a-Lago and introduced him during a November 2024 event. Gibson, for his part, publicly endorsed Trump in the 2024 election.
