Taylor Swift is showing her support for boyfriend Travis Kelce’s nomination for Man of the Year.
On Thursday, December 5, Swift, 34, liked the Kansas City Chiefs’ Instagram video announcing they have selected Kelce, 35, to be the team’s nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award.
“You know him for what he does on Sundays, but his efforts reach further than the football field. Thank you for all that you do @killatrav 🫶,” the Chiefs captioned the clip, which featured footage of Kelce and his charitable efforts. “Vote Travis for the Charity Challenge at the link in our bio!”
In the video, Kelce opened up about how his upbringing helped shape his mindset on wanting to give back in any way he could. The tight end credited his family — which includes parents Donna and Ed Kelce and brother Jason Kelce — as his inspiration.
“I had a beautiful childhood and that has everything to do with my parents and the family aspect I grew up [with] in Cleveland Heights, Ohio,” Travis reflected. “The east side of Cleveland is such a melting pot of social class and race and religion and I was able to relate to all those kids growing up and really appreciate everyone for who they were.”
Travis explained that when he joined the Chiefs in 2013, he felt welcomed by Kansas City immediately. Once he was in the position to do so, Travis wanted to return the favor by uplifting the community that accepted him with open arms. In 2015, Travis followed through on his promise and created his foundation, 87 and Running.
“I created it because I really wanted to make sure the city felt as much love from me as I do on Sundays,” he gushed.

The football player didn’t stop there. Travis also partnered up with Operation Breakthrough, an educational center that aids Kansas City children living in poverty.
With all the work Travis does off the field, it’s no wonder the Chiefs selected him as their nomination for the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year award. The prestigious accolade recognizes football players for their “commitment to creating a positive impact beyond the game.” Each team selects a nominee and fans can vote on who they want to win. The results will be revealed during the NFL Honors ceremony on February 6.
Swift has been by Travis’ side since they started dating in summer 2023. When not on her Eras Tour, the pop star was spotted cheering Travis and the Chiefs on at countless home games at Arrowhead Stadium. Travis, for his part, has also returned the favor by going to several of Swift’s concerts around the world during his time off.
After winning Video of the Year for her song “Fortnight” at the 2024 VMAs, Swift gave Travis the sweetest shoutout in her acceptance speech.
“The thing is that this video seems very sad when you watch it, but it actually was, like, the most fun video to make,” she said. “Something that I’ll always remember is when I would finish a take and I’d say cut and we’d be done with that take, I would always just hear someone cheering ‘woo’ from across the studio where we were shooting it, and that one person was my boyfriend, Travis.”
She continued: “Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic, so I wanna thank him for adding that to our shoot because I’ll always remember that.”
Earlier this month, the video’s cinematographer, Rodrigo Prieto, shared that Swift felt “very supported” by Travis during the shoot.
